Stranded Telangana worker in Dubai ,reunites with his family after 16 years

Stranded worker of Telangana returned home after 16 years of exile from Dubai and reunited with his family, the poor man went to earn money but in return he lost whatever he had.

Stranded worker of Telangana returns home after 16 years after working in Dubai for almost an eternity for him.The poor worker of telangana went to Dubai in 2004 to do jobs to help his family amd earn money,and left his daughter and wife behind. He went to the Gulf as a migrant worker. Luck had different plans for him,he had to do different odd jobs in Dubai.

Neela Yellaiah in Dubai and Sharjah doing odd jobs. In between, he lost his passport and could not return back to his home. During his stay in Dubai his health started deteriorating and he started to lose his memory.Lockdown has left thousands of labourers in the tourism, hospitality, and construction sectors, jobless. The passports of these migrant labourers have been withheld by the company. Neela Yellaiah did not had his passport as he left the company in the middle of his work and the company never returned it to him .

Rupesh Mehta was a volunteer from the Jain seva mission, a social organization saw his plight during distributing free dry ration to distressed migrant workers in Sharjah. Rupesh mehta saw his miserable condition and decided to help him reach back to his family. Yellaiah has no evidence other than a voter ID card, ration card to prove his nationality. He doesn’t remember the passport number or any other details. When we asked his name, he said Leela. While on the voter ID card it is written Neela,” the issue for new password was delayed due to non availability of the details of the old passport when Yellaiah moved to UAE.

At the request of Neela his wife the Hyderabad Passport office searched for his passport number and a new passport was issued with all the help of Rupesh Mehta Yellaiah could come back and reunite with his family after 16 years and now his daughter was married and had one son too.
