According to the police, Ramavat Kavita, a resident of Vaidehi Nagar Colony of Vanasthalipuram police station area of ​​Hyderabad, had a suspicious death on 18th of June, after Kavita`s husband Ramavat Vijay told Kavita`s parents that their daughter died of Covid-19 infection.
Later, the body was cremated by taking it to his village located in Nalgonda district in an auto-rickshaw, amidst this everyone was scared that coming near her corpse would infect them too.
Kavita`s mother was suspecting her son-in-law, she went to the government hospital to check the Covid test report of Kavita, which was done a week ago. Her suspicion turned into a reality after finding that Kavita`s report came negative and she lodged a complaint with the police.
Parents say that they talked to Kavita on 17 June and she was fine and had no symptoms of Covid-19; then how could she die of infection the next day.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat said that Ramavat Vijay alias Vijay Nayak (25) killed his wife Ramavat Kavita (21) by strangling her while sleeping on June 18 due to suspicion. To avoid her screaming he choked her face with the pillow. Later, he took Savita`s to Nalgonda in an auto-rickshaw to cremate it.
When the mother suspected the son-in-law, she lodged a complaint with the police on June 24, the post-mortem could be performed after asking the Tehsildar to take out the body.
