A possible third wave of corona in the country can come this month. A report has claimed that the third wave may start in August itself. It has also been claimed in the report that in the third, about one lakh cases can be reported daily. If the situation becomes very bad then the cases can reach 1.5 lakh. A research conducted at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Hyderabad and Kanpur led by Mathukumalli Vidyasagar and Manindra Agarwal claimed that the peak of the third wave may be seen in October. According to Bloomberg, Vidyasagar told in an email that due to states like Kerala and Maharashtra, the situation may become serious again.

It has been said in the report that the amount of outcry seen in the second wave of Covid-19 will not be as much in the third wave. India`s coronavirus outbreak could peak in a few days based on mathematical models. According to Bloomberg, Vidyasagar had told at that time, `We believe that the peak will come within a few days. As per the current estimates, 20,000 cases can be registered daily till the end of June.
