Corona vaccination in Telangana reached the figure of 1.5 crores. The health department has vaccinated 1,50,23,497 persons across the state till August 4. This process went on smoothly. As per the data, the state has identified 2.2 crore population as eligible for vaccination. Of these, 1.5 crore were vaccinated. 1,13,81,699 received the first dose, while 36,41,798 were given the second dose.

The next target is to vaccinate the remaining one crore population in the coming few months. According to department officials, vaccination can be expedited if sufficient stock of vaccine is made available by the central government. The government is investigating from available sources. The process of vaccination is going on strategically in the state, which the department is conducting on priority basis.

After dosing to health care workers, senior citizens, people over 45 years of age with comorbidities, the focus is on people over 18 years of age. Apart from dosing to different categories, special drives have been undertaken to vaccinate high risk groups. Not only camps, but also mobile vaccination centers were arranged so that people who did not go for jobs due to various reasons could reach the workplaces to get them vaccinated. Those who survived are being requested to get vaccinated for their safety.
