GHMC to continue raids during Ramadan too

There are 18 norms as per the guidelines, including medical check-up of staff, using gloves, masks and head caps while serving food, using stale food. GHMC has inspected 354 since it began its crackdown on April 3, out of which 198 hotels were found violating norms. Hyderabad: GHMC in collaboration with the heath and sanitation wing of GHMC, veterinary doctors, officials of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) and police, will continue its crackdown against eateries not complying with the norms of Food Safety Standards Act 2006. The total amount of fine imposed on these hotels because of unstamped meat, stale food being used in cooking, unhygienic kitchens and unclean wash rooms is 16.5 lakh.
