Bodhtree, Infosys tie up to leverage GST

Consulting and software service provider Bodhtree Consulting on Thursday announced that it had entered into a strategic partnership with Infosys and its clients to specifically leverage the Goods and Services Tax (GST) platform. The application service provider (ASP) and GST Suvidha Provider (GSP) would extend support to taxpayers in the IT ecosystem for GST filings and other related compliances, he said. Ramakrishna said the partnership would give Infosys and its clients an option to use the platform for their GST filings. The ASP would focus on taking taxpayers’ raw data on sales and purchases and convert it into GST compliant returns and then file them. This will take care of their clients’ complete needs under GST,” he said.

Consulting and software service provider Bodhtree Consulting on Thursday announced that it had entered into a strategic partnership with Infosys and its clients to specifically leverage the Goods and Services Tax (GST) platform.

In a press conference, Managing Director of Bodhtree Consulting, L.N. Ramakrishna said the partnership would give Infosys and its clients an option to use the platform for their GST filings. The size of the project he said, could be over ? 200 crore in the next three years.

The application service provider (ASP) and GST Suvidha Provider (GSP) would extend support to taxpayers in the IT ecosystem for GST filings and other related compliances, he said. The ASP would focus on taking taxpayers’ raw data on sales and purchases and convert it into GST compliant returns and then file them. “Bodhtree is one of the GSPs in the country, leading in GST readiness from the technology perspective and it has made Infosys short list the company as its partner for managing ASP and GSP roles together for their marquee clients. This will take care of their clients’ complete needs under GST,” he said.

Also, Mr. Ramakrishna said Bodhtree had inked a relationship with Startfit Technologies, a company promoted by Daniel McKee, a US-based celebrity trainer, actor Nagarjuna Akkineni and entrepreneurs K. Sriram and G. Vamshi Raju.

The relationship with Startfit includes exclusive marketing rights, technology collaboration, and an investment through debt with an option to convert into equity.
