Over 50 investors, 500 entrepreneurs and 50 global experts are expected to participate in the event being organised by Hyderabad chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) on the campus of Indian School of Business here. Next trillion A platform that brings together entrepreneurs, academicians and investors, the TiE-ISB Connect this year will have ‘The Next Trillion – Where and How to Create’ as its theme. The principle idea behind this edition and the theme is to encourage startups to tap potential sectors and the new frontier for investments and developments, TiE ISB Connect 2017 chair Srini Chandupatla told presspersons here on Tuesday. Last year’s event was attended by over 500 entrepreneurs and several venture capital funds and angel investors, he added. ‘Reverse pitch’ More than 150 startups are expected to vie for investment from 50 investors at the Investor Connect on September 7. Unlike other such events, where the start-ups showcase their projects to attract investors, TiE-ISB Connect will have a ‘Reverse Pitch’ in which the investors would spell out what they are looking for. Principal Secretary (Industries and IT) Jayesh Ranjan said such events also gives venture capitalists a great opportunity to tap rising investment opportunities. President of TiE Hyderabad Pradeep Mittal said the event is meant for “mature start-ups.”
