Met Dept predicts heavy rainfall on Oct 19

“The low pressure area over central Bay of Bengal now lies as a well marked low pressure area over central and adjoining south Bay of Bengal. The Met Department also informed that the Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from some parts of the coastal AP and Telangana on Tuesday. The India Meteorological Department on Tuesday predicted that heavy rainfall might occur at isolated places in all the districts of Telangana State on October 19. Subsequently, it is very likely to move northwestwards reaching north Andhra Pradesh and adjoining south Odisha coast by 19th October,” the Met Department said in its bulletin. It is very likely to concentrate into a depression during next 24 hours.

The India Meteorological Department on Tuesday predicted that heavy rainfall might occur at isolated places in all the districts of Telangana State on October 19. “The low pressure area over central Bay of Bengal now lies as a well marked low pressure area over central and adjoining south Bay of Bengal. Associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 5.8 km above mean sea level. It is very likely to concentrate into a depression during next 24 hours. Subsequently, it is very likely to move northwestwards reaching north Andhra Pradesh and adjoining south Odisha coast by 19th October,” the Met Department said in its bulletin. The Met Department also informed that the Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from some parts of the coastal AP and Telangana on Tuesday. (INN)
