Imphal missionary schools reopen amid threats

IMPHAL: A few missionary schools reopened in Imphal on Thursday amidst tight security after reports of threats from militant groups forced them to remain shut for two days. "We have deployed adequate security around the immediate campus of the schools, using various methods of surveillance," said Deputy inspector general of police (DIG), SP Imphal West Earlier, two blasts had taken place inside Assam Rifles Transit Camp near Khuman Lampak Main Stadium in Imphal West district.Nine security personnel had suffered injuries on Tuesday in the blasts.An investigation is on in the matter.
