Fifth edition of Biren's village outreach programme held across Manipur

At Kuki-majority Kangpokpi district's Haipi village, social welfare minister Nemcha Kipgen distributed deliverables to over 1000 beneficiaries under various governmental schemes. IMPHAL: The N Biren Singh government on Wednesday held its 5th edition of the 'Khungang Chatshi' ('Go to Village') mission, with several ministers, MLAs and officials conducting camps at different villages across the state.Launched on May 1 this year by chief minister N Biren Singh, the mission aims at reaching out to people at their doorsteps, provide awareness of government programmes and benefits and ensuring timely delivery of services to eligible beneficiaries.Works minister Thongam Biswajit, who joined Wednesday's mission at Thongju, his home constituency in Imphal, said the mission targets ensuring that the intended beneficiaries get their entitled rights.
