3 NSCN-K rebels held in Manipur

SILCHAR: Three National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Khaplang) rebels were held from New Kaiphundai area of Tamenglong district in Manipur on Sunday.A cache of sophisticated weapons and ammunitions, including two US-made M series assault rifles, around 425 rounds of live ammunition and three hand grenades has also been recovered from them.An Assam Rifles spokesman on Sunday said these militants had on September 21 kidnapped a truck driver near Makru bridge on NH-37 which connects Silchar with Imphal.
