IMPHAL: About 1,200 people, including villagers from Myanmar , were provided free medical treatment at an AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy , Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) camp organized by the Singhat batallion of Assam Rifles at the border village of Beihang in Churachandpur district "Since the village lies at a distance of 1 km from the border, far from the key towns of Churachandpur, locals suffer from various ailments that have been aggravated due to lack of access to proper medical care," a statement issued by Assam Rifles on Sunday said.The camp was inaugurated by health and family welfare minister L Jayantakumar Singh in the presence of legislator Ginsuanhau Zou, who represents Singhat, and AYUSH director A Guneshwor Sharma.
