IMPHAL: Suspected rebels triggered an IED explosion near a shopping mall at the Chingmeirong area in Imphal city on Thursday morning.Though no one was hurt in the blast occurred at around 5am, glass wall of the mall was damaged . The spot comes under the seven assembly segments of Imphal municipal areas from which AFSPA has been lifted. The police, which carried out a search around the spot, believed the incident might be linked with monetary demands made by underground groups.No group has claimed responsibility for the blast till the time of filing this report.
