IMPHAL: A professor from Manipur working in Sikkim was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Sunday. Angom was working as an assistant professor in the College of Agricultural Engineering and Post Harvest Technology located in Ranipool. He added that the DGP is in touch with his Sikkim counterpart to keep track of developments in the case. An accused, identified as Fazal Khan, has been arrested and an FIR has been registered against him at Ranipool Police Station after the wife of the deceased lodged a complaint, said Biren. The matter came up for discussion in the state assembly on Monday.Chief minister N Biren Singh informed the house that the victim, Angom Ingoacha of the Phayeng area of Lamshang assembly constituency in Imphal West, had died under mysterious circumstances.
