169 patients recovered and were discharged from 15 COVID care facilities on Friday while the state reported 156 new cases, according to report.

Manipur witnessed the sudden increase of COVID-19 cases in the last one week, new recoveries have surpassed the new cases for the first time after October 9 in the state on Friday. 

169 patients recovered and were discharged from 15 COVID care facilities on Friday while the state reported 156 new cases, according to report.

The recovery rate was 74.87 per cent as on Friday. New cases were confirmed at 23 testing facilities in the state and are from the general population from 12 districts.

Five more persons succumbed to COVID-19 on Friday. The state now has a total of 16,777 positive cases, while the numbers of active and recovered cases are 4,083 and 12,562 respectively.

Friday, 4,19,517 people were screened at various entry points into the state, while 3,33,718 individuals were tested for the disease.
