Manipur reported 666 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday pushing the state`s total cases tally past the 37000 mark, while 17 people succumbed to the deadly virus.
Covid-19 continues to wreak havoc in Manipur. The northeastern state reported 666 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday pushing the state`s total cases tally past the 37000 mark, while 17 people succumbed to the deadly virus.
The active cases tally has reached 5272 in the state.
7 personnel of the Central Armed Paramilitary forces (CAFS) deployed in the state also tested positive for the Covid-19 in the state out of the 666 fresh cases.
The cumulative death toll has reached 526 after 17 patients succumbed to the virus in the state.
Imphal west received the highest 252 cases, followed by Imphal East (171), Kakching (60), Churachandpur (50), Bishnupur (48), Thoubal (34), Ukhrul (15), Senapati (13), Noney (7), Kangpokpi (6), Tamenglong (4), Chandel (3), Kamjong (2) and Tengnoupal (1), respectively.
The recovery rate has, however, slipped to 84.34%, despite 358 recoveries in the past 24-hours.
