INDORE: A man was critically injured when van caught fire after an explosion in Bagli town of Dewas district, creating panic in the residential area on Friday.The incident took place in the morning when Rajesh Vishwakarma pressed the ignition of the Maruti Van parked outside his house, Bagli police station in-charge Narendra Survanshi said.An explosion was heard before the van caught fire, he said adding Vishwakarma narrowly escaped with severe burn injuries.The sound of explosion drove people out of their house only to see that flames had covered the vehicle. Two scooters parked near the van also caught fire and were completely destroyed.Vishwakarma was rushed to a hospital with severe burns.Suryavanshi said, "We have not received a formal complaint yet. The cause of explosion and fire can only be ascertained once the matter is taken up for investigation," he said.
