Barwani: A 10-year-old tribal boy was critically injured when a device used to ignite gelatin rod went off at village Gandhaval under Pati police station limits of ??the district.Pati police station in charge MT Beg told TOI that a child Lokesh had taken his goats in a forest for grazing when he came across a device used to ignite a gelatin rod. He picked up the device.When Lokesh reached home started breaking it with stones due to which the device exploded and he sustained injuries on his face, left hand and leg and became unconscious, his family members told police.He was taken to Pati primary health centre from where he was referred to district hospital.Gelatin rod is used as an explosive for digging pond or well.
