Kabir Mahotsav brings a sufiyana shaam

The two days 'Kabir Mahotsav ' which paid tribute to an Urdu poet and a sufi musician from the 18th century - Kabir and Amir Khusro respectively, made Shaheed Bhawan revervebrate with Sufism. While Daastan-e-Khusro narrated the mentor-pritege relationship between Hazrat Nizamuddin and his disciple Amir Khusro through poetic verses. The festival brought to Bhopal two eminent poets and musicians from the genre, who along with their group sang verses from the couplets of these famous poets.Folk singer Hemant Vhauhan began his performance on a spiritual note by singing Bhajan written by Sant Kabir and Khusro, as his team accompanied him with melodious tinkles of manjira, tambura and tabla.
