IT May 20 New IT Park in city for big companies

AKVN plans to develop a new IT Park in the city for big companies looking for independent king size space to set up facilities.The industry department has plans to construct a new facility in the free space available on the old Crystal IT Park campus.AKVN managing director Kumar Purushottam said, “We are receiving several enquiries from big technocrats. Indore: Targeting IT giants and large technocrats mostly based out of foreign lands, Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam (AKVN) prepares for a new platform to invite investments. Large players are interested in setting up their facilities in the city but they have very different requirement in terms of space.”To cater to big players, the department will construct an IT Park with independent floors and humongous space, he said.With the proposed new IT Park, there will be three IT buildings on the campus of Crystal IT Park to house IT companies and incubation centres to promote entrepreneurship.Purushottam said, “We are in talks with eight big IT companies, who may start operations from Indore if they are provided space and facilities as per their requirement. The city has grown multifold in terms of development and this is one of the USPs of the region.”The department plans to come up with large space of about 50,000 sq ft for offices that will be available to companies on lease.The AKVN MD said, “The expected rate at the new IT Park will be around Rs 60 per sq ft, which is much lower than Rs 250 per sq ft offered at Gurugram.”The existing IT companies in the Crystal IT Park recorded an export of Rs 248 crore in FY 2017/18 as against Rs 200 crore a year ago, according to the official data from the industry department.
