INDORE: Shree Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena on Monday demanded a CBI probe into the death of self-styled spiritual guru Bhaiyyu Maharaj , alleging that he had acquired ‘documents related to large-scale corruption’ following he was being pressurised from different quarters.“We demand that the government should come clean by ordering a CBI probe into Bhaiyyu Maharaj’s death. He was being pressurised by the people in power against exposing large-scale corruption related to sand mining on the banks of Narmada river ,” Rashtriya Karni Sena president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedhi told reporters.Bhaiyyu Maharaj was among the five members of the state commission for conservation of river Narmada.Gogamedhi claimed that he had acquired documents that 'implicated the government' and was thus being pressurised. On what was the basis of the allegation, he said, “I have got this information from various media platforms. But if the government wants to set things right, why does it not order a CBI probe.”Gogamedhi, who reached here from Kota, claimed that he was stopped by the Madhya Pradesh police at Agar and near Ujjain. “I was told that they have orders from the top that my entry to Indore could lead to a flare-up,” he said.The Rajput organisation president, who later met Bhaiyyu Maharaj’s family, claimed that there are several loopholes in the suicide theory regarding the guru’s death. “Bhaiyyu Maharaj did not face financial crunch. He resolved family disputes of people – how could he not solve his? Why was the gunshot not heard by anyone? Why was he taken to hospital an hour after the shot was fired?”He alleged that no one was above suspicion in the death and only CBI probe will lead to the truth. He also threatened to hold agitation in Indore if the government does not concede to his demands.
