Indore: A middle-aged couple committed suicide by taking poison at a mine near railway line in Dakachya village late on Wednesday.The man, Nandkishore, 55, called his son-in-law Rajendra, a resident of Siroliya village in Dewas and asked him to come to Dakachya village to attend last rites. He, however, did not say whose last rites he was talking about. He switched off his phone after calling Rajendra.Rajendra told his wife Maya about the call and they spoke to their family members. As they reached the spot, Nandkishore’s wife Pushpa had already died, whereas he was struggling to breath. He was rushed to the hospital in a serious condition but succumbed on the way.Rajendra told police that the couple was under stress for a long time because of family disputes and financial instability. Several fights were also witnessed in the house because of these issues Kshipra police said that a case was registered in the matter. No suicide note was recovered from the spot and they were still in the process of investigating the case.“We are yet to interact with the family members of the couple to know the exact cause behind the extreme step,” said Kshipra police station in charge Meena Karnawat.
