Indore: Hirli kids cross river on dangerous boat from home to school

But, it is a kutcha road and kids need to travel a distance of five kilometres on it to reach the school. To avoid taking the long-route, kids cross the river by the temporary boat. The construction work was started three years ago.Hirli village has a primary school till Class V and for the further study the students have to go to Simrol, which has government-run school till Class X. The makeshift boat is pulled using a rope tied on its either side.It could have easily avoided had the authorities not delayed the construction of a submersible bridge on the river. INDORE: In absence of a high school in their locality, children carrying schoolbag from Hirli village in Dewas district of MP are forced to do a petrifying journey to make to get to school in Simrol village of Indore district.The perils are evident when risking their lives the kids take a boat made of plastic drums and cross Kshipra river to reach the school.
