BARWANI: Following a dispute over post of village Patel , which led to fight, a man was killed and three were injured at Nanijhiri village under Niwali police station area on Tuesday.The man identified as Dhan Singh was bludgeoned to death by his cousin and Nanijhiri Patel Gulab and six people when he was on his way from Niwali to the village, said Niwali police station in charge Mohan Dabar.Police have arrested Gulab, his two sons, Kashiram and Kesaria, grandsons Ramlal, Sunil and Kaliya and one Dinesh for their involvement in the crime.Darbar said Dhan and Gulab had a dispute over the post of village Patel. On Monday evening, Gulab and his sons, grandsons and Dinesh stopped Dhan in midway when he was returning home. They started thrashing him. Dhan somehow managed to call his son Nurja to rescue him.Nurja reached the spot and fought with them. He sustained injury in the fight and ran away from the spot. Dhan also took shelter in a house, but, the accused traced him and bludgeoned him to death, said police.After the incident, Gulab and his son reached Niwali police station and lodged a complaint against Dhan and Nurja. He told police that two persons, including a woman, were injured in an attack by the duo.Later, Nurja and his family members started looking for Dhan and found his body near a nullah. They, too, lodged a complaint against Gulab and his family members.The three accused were produced before a court in Khetiya from where they were sent on judicial remand. Other accused will be produced before court on Wednesday.
