Stage set for CM Chouhans Jan Ashirwad Yatra from Ujjain

INDORE: Stage is set in Ujjain for BJP chief Amit Shah to flag off chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ on Saturday. A temporary office is being established in the chariots for him to perform his duties as the chief minister. Chouhan had taken out similar yatras in 2008 and 2013, ahead of the assembly elections from Ujjain – considered to be lucky place for parties to start electioneering. He will hold 705 public meetings and stage over 500 road shows, before the yatra culminates in Bhopal on September 25.The party had converted two buses as chariots. The chariots will have mobile WiFi facility for constant internet connectivity.The vehicles reached Ujjain late in the night ahead of the flagging off ceremony.

Seen as start of BJP’s campaign for coming assembly polls, the yatra will pass through 230 assembly constituencies, narrating achievements of Chouhan government in Madhya Pradesh.Chouhan is expected to begin the yatra from Ujjain’ Vijayaraje Scindia Stadium, after offering prayers at Lord Mahakaleshwar temple.Elaborate arrangements have been put in place in Ujjain for the yatra. Six large domes have been installed the stadium to accommodate the crowd that will gather to see Chouhan off.The chief minister will move in a bus specially designed in the form of a chariot and address public rallies during the yatra. He will hold 705 public meetings and stage over 500 road shows, before the yatra culminates in Bhopal on September 25.The party had converted two buses as chariots. One of the chariots will be used in central Madhya Pradesh and the Malwa and Nimar regions, while the other one will be used in the Bundelkhand , Mahakaushal and Vindhya regions, party sources said.The chariots are equipped with a hydraulic platform to help Chouhan address gatherings. A temporary office is being established in the chariots for him to perform his duties as the chief minister. The chariots will have mobile WiFi facility for constant internet connectivity.The vehicles reached Ujjain late in the night ahead of the flagging off ceremony.
