The marketing fest has been taking place for years now. Indore: Over 200 International Institute of Professional Studies ( IIPS ) staged protest for not being allowed to conduct a marketing fest on the college campus on Monday.The students protested for over four hours prompting the administration to call police. I had told the students to conduct it near ICH on the university campus. They came in white dress as a mark of protest and sat outside the main gate shouting slogans against the institute director for not giving permission.“This marketing fest has been taking place for several years on the campus. The students had also decided to conduct a hawan for peace of the college on Tuesday.

They came in white dress as a mark of protest and sat outside the main gate shouting slogans against the institute director for not giving permission.“This marketing fest has been taking place for several years on the campus. It is only from last year the new director started creating hurdles for students,” DAVV student union president Dakshita Garhwal told TOI.The students called off their protest only when DAVV vice-chancellor permitted them to organise the fest in October. The students had also decided to conduct a hawan for peace of the college on Tuesday. “We are planning to conduct a hawan tomorrow. The director is not ready to listen to our plea. The marketing fest has been taking place for years now. Why is he not allowing us to do it?” said fourth year student Rachit Khandelwal.IIPS director Dr Anand K Sapre said, “This fest is not an official fest. I had told the students to conduct it near ICH on the university campus. As it’s not an official fest, I am apprehensive about ragging.”
