Birju Maharaj- Durga Arya is in Indore to conduct a three day Kathak workshop at the Naadyog dance institute. Arya, who has made a place for herself in the world of Kathak is currently residing in Germany where she is practicing the Lucknow style of Kathak dance- taught to her by Birju Maharaj . At Indore- she is training the Kathak students in the nuances of Lucknow style of Kathak and some of the signature moves of Pt Briju Maharaj, including the expressions and poses. First disciple of Kathak exponent Pt. During the workshop, she also gave students a demonstration of the art form, replete with the technical perfection of tode, tukde, gat, tarana etc.
