“Old age homes are increasing in India. MHOW: MP Governor Anandiben Patel on Monday made Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Social Sciences ( BRAUSS ) graduates take a pledge that they will not send their parents to old age home.The pledge was taken at the university’s second convocation ceremony which was presided by her. After reading any book write review and submit it to library while returning the book. Vice-chancellor Dr CD Naik and faculty were present on the occasion.Dr Naik read report of the university. She said, if a woman is elected in panchayat elections, then her husband should not sit on her official chair.

MHOW: MP Governor Anandiben Patel on Monday made Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Social Sciences ( BRAUSS ) graduates take a pledge that they will not send their parents to old age home.The pledge was taken at the university’s second convocation ceremony which was presided by her. “Old age homes are increasing in India. You will have to ensure that your parents are not sent to an old age home,” Patel said.The Governor told boys to pledge for not taking dowry and also urged the students to give free tuition to needy and deprived children in their locality.Dressed in traditional style with brown half jacket and yellow pagdi, the passing out students, took out a procession from administrative building to auditorium to mark the ceremony.The Governor conferred degree to BA, MA and MPhil students.Motivating students to read books, she said, “Students must develop a habit of reading book. But reading them alone is not enough. After reading any book write review and submit it to library while returning the book. It will be a study in real sense.”Patel also spoke about women empowerment. She said, if a woman is elected in panchayat elections, then her husband should not sit on her official chair. She will be able to learn the work only when she will get chance to do it.Minister Lal Singh Arya was chief guest of the ceremony, while Dhar MP and Lucknow Ambedkar University VC Dr Prakash Bartuniya were special guests. Vice-chancellor Dr CD Naik and faculty were present on the occasion.Dr Naik read report of the university. Research scholar Deepmala Rawat shed light on academic environment of the university.
