Bright shining day, mild breeze and a healthy dollop of enthusiasm welcomed us to the SUAS campus on the ninth day of Livon Times Fresh Face season 11 college auditions. For first timers on the Fresh Face platform, the zeal of participants from the college was no less than those of the colleges we had visited second time. The open air performance venue was buzzing with dancing and merriment when we arrived, and emcee Hussaina Dewaswala had become one with the students by the end of first round. From the confident round of introductions, it was quite clear that Symbians were in for the win. After getting to know about the platform, the participants presented a myriad of performances on the spot to the beats of DJ Harshal Jain. What was noticeable was how every participant rooted and cheered for their fellow contestants with equal vigour, as they would expect for themselves. From the very first performance, presented by runner-up Yashraj Rampuriya on the song ‘High rate Gabru’ to the last classical dance of runner-up Riddhi Bhargava on ‘Breathless’, we were hooked. In between, runner-up Archesh Patodi rendered everyone speechless with his instrumental set on violin and flute . Another runner-up Saniya Jeswani won over everyone gathered with her story of breaking stereotypes in the modelling industry by confidently embracing her curves.
