Her father-in-law, Angad Singh, blamed it on “evil spells” cast by his neighbour Prem Singh. On Sunday, Angad and his two sons allegedly dragged Prem out of his house, tied him to a tree, beat him brutally and forced to eat mud. When his wife protested, they allegedly tied her to a tree and beat her too. Later, Prem Singh went to police and got Angad and his sons arrested. When his wife protested, they allegedly tied her to a tree and beat her too. Then, in the presence of several villagers, the trio stuffed faeces in the couple’s mouths. They allegedly kept beating the couple until some elderly people intervened and rescued them. Later, Prem Singh went to police and got Angad and his sons arrested.
