On what made him confident to make such a claim, Markam said, “In last assembly polls, we (GGP) had contested separately from Akhil Bharatiya Gondwana Party (ABGP) and had managed to get around 6 lakh votes. In this election, ABGP is supporting our candidates on around 125 seats.”“Jai Adivasi Yuva Sangathan (JAYS), which has strong hold in tribal areas, is also supporting us and their candidates are contesting on GGP symbol. This increases our chances of becoming the first regional party of MP,” said Markam. He said that this time, the party was hopeful to win around 20 seats mostly in Jabalpur division SPAKS too is confident that it will get a regional status. Organisation leader Hiralal Trivedi said, “We are contesting from around 200 seats on party’s symbol and are expected to win at least 40 seats in Rewa, Gwalior-Chambal, Bhopal Indore and Ujjain division. As such, fulfilling the criteria to get the state-level recognition will not be a problem for us.”
