INDORE: Election offices of contenders have gone all high tech with laptops and technically versed youths taking charge of political war rooms in Dewas district.Telecommunicators, social media managers and technically updated man power have replaced yesteryears sight of log books and piles of papers adorning election offices.Most of the contenders have inaugurated their regional election offices in all five constituencies of Dewas district - Dewas, Sonkutch, Hatpilapliya, Bagli and Hatpipaliya.On Monday, Congress contenders Jay Singh Thakur from Dewas and Sajjan Singh Verma from Sonkutch inaugurated election offices in their constituencies.Thakur's election office in Dewas is equipped with 8 computers and 6 telecommunicators besides other man power to handle day to day activities.Jai Singh Thakur said, "Time is changing and so as we are updating for the good of our voters and to ensure smooth functioning of campaigning. Youths are handling all these technical affairs as they are fully updated and full of energy."Some of the contenders have already started operations from election offices such as MLA Gayatri Raje Puar from Dewas and MLA Aashish Sharma from Khategaon among others.MLA Gayatri Raje Puar's election office at Dewas has also a mini call center and social media experts to keep an eye on day to day activities.Puar said, "I have divided my day's routine such that I visit wards in evenings and villages in mornings. I believe in door-to-door campaigning as it builds a personal network."At places, where internet connectivity and technical man power are constraint, designated party workers are making full use of social media platforms to connect to the public.A BJP worker from Bagli said they have started operating from election office but due to lack of technical hands, a handful of them share time to time updates on social media.
