Indore voters at a poster war with netas over ‘quota’ policy

INDORE: Voters in Indore-I constituency have taken up to the ‘poster war’ with their netas this polls . They say they will vote only for netas who promise to fulfill the demand. The amendments made to the act recently will only result in dividing the society. By keeping mum, the netas have disappointed us.”Another resident and a college-going student, Swati Sharma said, “It will be difficult for students like me to find a job in the future due to present system of reservations. Therefore, we have decided to register our protest by denying vote to the candidates supporting the amendments”.Some of the residents have also put up posters to register their protest over delay in construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Several families of the constituency have put up posters in front of their houses asking the politicians not to seek their votes if they are not against the recent amendments to the Schedule Castes and Schedules Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and reservations Taking the election as an opportunity to register their protest, many families living in the constituency have put up the posters that reads: ‘This is a house of a nationalist. The political parties supporting the atrocity act and reservations don’t approach us for votes.’One of the residents of Nageen Nagar, Mahesh Sharma said, “We had high expectations from the netas to help find a remedy to the biased system of reservations by modifying it in a way that the benefits are provided on the basis of the financially condition of the applicants and not on his caste. The amendments made to the act recently will only result in dividing the society.
