Officials said that an agency would be hired to operate both toy train and battery-car on zoo campus under build-operate-transfer (BOT) contract terms. “Both toy train and car would be environment-friendly as they will run on battery and will be smokeless and noiseless,” he added. INDORE: Indore zoo plans to introduce battery operated car as well as a toy train on its 4000 square metre campus for the entertainment of visitors.Zoo authorities said that the toy train would be operated for entertainment of children while battery-operated car would be of great help to physically challenged visitors, senior citizens and general tourists to take a complete round of the zoo.Officials said that both toy train and car would be of battery-operated and their operation and maintenance would be handled by private agencies. “People get exhausted by the time they cover half of the zoo, but now we are planning to offer them a ride in battery operated vehicles,” zoo in charge Uttam Yadav told TOI.He said that the vehicle would halt for a few minutes at all important spots including monkey house, reptile house among others.
