Woman gets 3-year jail for turning hostile in rape case

During the trial, the complainant was summoned by the court to record her statements and she turned hostile. She claimed that she was not in the video.The court acquitted two accused on December 11, 2018. The judgment was delivered by special judge BK Dwivedi.The FIR at Gandhi Nagar police station had been lodged under SC/ ST Act as the complainant belonged to SC community. The two accused had worked with her in a factory. INDORE: A sessions court in Indore on Friday awarded three years imprisonment to a woman who turned hostile in a case where she had made allegations of gangrape and blackmail against her two colleagues.The case was registered at Gandhi Nagar police station in 2017, in which the complainant had alleged that Satish Rathore and Madhur Maulasariya made an obscene video of her and threatened her on multiple occasions.

INDORE: A sessions court in Indore on Friday awarded three years imprisonment to a woman who turned hostile in a case where she had made allegations of gangrape and blackmail against her two colleagues.The case was registered at Gandhi Nagar police station in 2017, in which the complainant had alleged that Satish Rathore and Madhur Maulasariya made an obscene video of her and threatened her on multiple occasions. During the trial, the complainant was summoned by the court to record her statements and she turned hostile. She claimed that she was not in the video.The court acquitted two accused on December 11, 2018. “The state government moved an application under Section 344 of CrPC for trial against giving false statements before the court and showcause notice was issued to the complainant.As she did not give any reply, the complainant was found guilty of giving false statements and was sentenced to three months imprisonment,” additional government prosecutor Vishal Shrivastav said.The state government had produced the complainant’s statements before the court under Section 164 and also FIR along with other documents.
