Indore: Robotic technology for hair transplant has entered Indian market, but doctors are still sticking to the old ways of manual hair transplant claiming that the new tech is not up to the mark.Dr Pradeep Atodaria, hair restoration expert said, “Robotic hair transplant technique reduces surgery time and makes it faster but it still needs a person to run. The robotic surgery is costlier but not much efficient than manual. “The technology needs to be updated, which will take some years. Doctors do not prefer this technique now but may be in future the technology would be used once it gets updated.”Experts claimed that excess vitamins and proteins in body are major causes of hair fall. Dr Rajesh Rajput, hair restoration expert said after people notice minor hair fall in scalp, they start taking vitamin, protein, iron and calcium medicines and tonics. There is a myth that by taking these medicines they will be able to stop hair fall, however, they are unaware that instead of stopping, these medicines increase hair fall.Dr Rajput said scientific reason behind hair fall is lack of proper nutrients in the body, which is due to poor diet and increase in fast food habit. In many cases, we have noticed that youngsters, who get inspired by Bollywood actors or other men for fitness start reducing their diet just to look fit. But they do not understand that reducing diet at early age results in decrease in nutrients in their body.Due to lack of nutrients, when they notice minor hair fall, people start taking heavy doses of vitamin and protein medicines, which increases the hair fall.Dr Rajput said instead taking medicines people should improve their diet, which should be rich in nutrients. He added people should ensure that they do not take iron and calcium rich food on same day as body cannot digest both simultaneously.People usually think that hair loss is a genetic disorder but the study says that it mostly depends upon environmental aspects including pollution, lifestyle, stress and ultraviolet rays in atmosphere.
