Indore: Loss in business and dearth of money had prompted 24-year-old Hridesh Sahu to plan the abduction of six-year-old Akshat Jain with his friends, said police on Thursday.The mastermind behind the abduction Sahu is from Birdha town in Lalitpur district (Uttar Pradesh) and had been staying in Indore for the past five years. He was staying with his brother-in-law Sachin and worked at his iron rods shop. He had also started cosmetics shop some time ago but had suffered a loss of over Rs 2 lakh.“The relationship between the accused and his brother-in-law had also started deteriorating because of which he planned to return to Lalitpur,” said ADG Varun Kapoor. However, he wanted to earn money before returning to UP.He used to frequently visit grocery store of Rohit Jain (Akshat’s father). It was here that he saw his son and decided to kidnap him for money. After discussing the plan with his accomplice Akash Parashar, 19, Hridesh decided to involve two more friends who would help them keep the minor in Lalitpur.On Sunday, Hridesh and Akash went to the spot and kidnapped the child on Sachin’s two-wheeler. They went to Dewas where Hridesh dropped Akash and Akshat in the market and returned to Indore. He parked the vehicle at Sachin’s house, took his wife and reached the bus stop where he had booked four tickets to Lalitpur.Around 9 pm, the couple left the city and bus reached Dewas around 10:30 pm where Akash and Akshat boarded it. Bus reached Lalitpur the next day where the accused first dropped his wife to his village then met the other accused including Ashish Chaturvedi and Arvind Kushwaha.They kept roaming around in the area looking for a place to hide the child but couldn’t find one. They had to spend the day out in the open.After the child reached home, police intensified the search and arrested the accused from UP and brought them to Indore.
