Fake recognition: Block resource coordinators pressurized me, says accused

INDORE: The case of alleged fraud in providing recognition to nine private schools has taken a new turn with contractual programmer of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan , who had earlier ‘confessed’ to committing the fraud, now claiming that he had done so at the behest of two block resource coordinators (BRCs).After Zila Panchayat CEO, Neha Meena , had launched a probe into the case that had surfaced a month ago, contractual programmer Dhirendra Parihar was summoned on Thursday to record his statement.“In his written statement, Parihar has confessed to sending the letter (of approving the recognition to nine schools) under pressure of two BRCs,” Meena told TOI.“We have now decided to summon both officials to seek their clarification on the allegations,” the CEO said.Zila Panchayat officials also said that they have not received any response from local police, crime branch or cyber cell about launching a probe and filing a case in the matter so far. “We had written to the police to investigate the matter twice in last month.
