Indore: Winter continues to play hide and seek before bidding final goodbye to Indore. After the influence of warm southerly and south easterly breeze, which raised day and night temperatures for a few days in past week, dry and cold north easterly winds have returned bringing back the chill in the region. The weather is likely to remain same for another day.This wind pattern will be disrupted on Tuesday, when temperatures will see a sudden rise due to another western disturbance and inducement of southerly winds in the region.After this western disturbance fades, chances are that temperature will drop marginally, weather department officials said.On February 13 and 14, minimum and maximum temperature in Indore had increased to 18 degrees and 32 degree Celsius respectively. On Sunday, minimum temperature was 11.5 degrees, one degree below normal and maximum temperature was 27.6 degrees. The relative humidity in the morning was 38 per cent whereas in the evening it was at 27 per cent highlighting the dryness in weather around city.“The reason for the cold returning is absence of any system to hinder the path of northerly winds and hence easy for dry north easterly winds to reach Madhya Pradesh. The western disturbance, which is likely to disrupt cold, will mark the end of winter as after that the wind pattern would start changing irrespective of any system,” Gurudutt Mishra, Indore meteorological department official at Bhopal said.The national weather forecast is rain at isolated places on February 20 and 21 in west Madhya Pradesh. In last week, rainfall was recorded at Amarkantak, Balaghat, Anuppur, Rewa and Shahdol region.
