The interview was scheduled on every Wednesday. But, no retired doctor has been selected as seven of the applicants were above 67 years of age, while remaining did not have pension payment order.“We are unable to get doctors under 67 years of age. Five weeks have passed, but we have not come across any doctor, who is able to fulfil all the conditions. If the situation remains the same in further interviews, we will appeal to ministry to extend the age limit to 69 years since most of the applicants, who appeared for the interview, were under the age group of 68-69 years.“The department needs to recruit 14 retired doctors for primary health centres in Indore’s urban areas. As regular appointment will take time, so, it was decided to appoint doctors, who retired from state medical services and medical education services after attaining the age of 65 years and against whom no departmental action is pending,” Dr Baghel said.
