Poor water supply leaves locals fuming

Indore: With the beginning of mega repair work of Narmada supply network, residents have started facing water shortage problems.On Tuesday, several localities of west part of the city were affected as overhead tanks of their respective areas could not be filled to their full capacity. Tanks like Annapurna, Gandhi Nagar, Buddh Nagar were affected due to poor supply pressure.“They have already reduced supply from regular to alternate days, and supply pressure has also gone down, due to which we could store half amount of water as compared to regular days,” said Mahesh Sharma of Gandhi Nagar.Another Annapurna resident Purnima Verma said, “We could not get enough water. The amount of water supplied today can last only for one day and we will have to call a tanker as there will be no supply to our area on Wednesday.”This has become a regular affair.
