Exorcist gets 10 years’ RI for abduction, rape of minor

Barwani: A court in Sendhwa has sentenced an exorcist to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) for abduction and rape of a Class VIII student raping in 2018.Additional district and sessions judge Justice Krishna Paraste awarded the sentence to Sardar Senani on Tuesday. Thereafter, he took her to village Peeparkheda and raped her in a farmland. The girl agreed to go with him since he was known to her. According to prosecution, the accused, who would visit the survivor frequently, had raped when she had gone to purchase stationery from a shop nearby her school at Kalapat village during recess on July 4, 2018.Paraste came in her way on a bike and told that he would take her to Bhilat Dev temple at Nagalwadi.
