Man dupes friend of Rs 1075L on promise to double the amount

INDORE: A man duped his friend of Rs 10.75 lakh on promise to double his amount.The victim, 23-year-old Mayur Rajani, lodged a complaint at Heera Nagar police station. Patidar told him that he would pay the money within two days. Heera Nagar police officer Jagdish Malviya said, “A complaint was received at DIG officer. In 2017, after the three years term got over, he contacted Patidar for his money. After we found that the incident was true a case was registered against the accused on Tuesday.”

Rajani, a resident of Veena Nagar, told police that in 2014, his childhood friend Nishant Patidar convinced him to invest his money in a scheme and double it within a span of three years.Rajani said that he gave Rs 10.75 lakh to him in three instalments. In 2017, after the three years term got over, he contacted Patidar for his money. Patidar told him that he would pay the money within two days. However, after two days, Patidar became untraceable. “In April, 2018, I lodged a written complaint at DIG office. After 10 months, finally police have have registered a case against the accused,” Rajani said. Heera Nagar police officer Jagdish Malviya said, “A complaint was received at DIG officer. After we found that the incident was true a case was registered against the accused on Tuesday.”
