Indore: The son of an assistant sub inspector and his friends attacked a man and chewed off his finger after a brawl in Rajendra Nagar area on Wednesday night.The incident took place when the accused were sitting under a bridge in Rajendra Nagar where the complainant’s project was undergoing.“The accused and his friends usually come to the spot and consume drugs there. My colleague Ankit had asked them to leave when the argument broke out and they slapped him. He informed us and another coworker Imran Sheikh reached the spot to resolve the matter,” Uday Patel, complainant told TOI.He claimed that when Imran reached the spot , the accused started thrashing him and one of the accused chewed off his finger. “We rushed him to a hospital. We submitted a complaint at police station,” said Patel. The accused were forcing complainants to withdraw the case. “They had taken the injured to a private hospital yesterday. It is pending because of MLC report. As soon as we get it, action will be initiated,” said Sunil Sharma, Rajendra Nagar police station in-charge.TNN
