INDORE: Lasudia police have arrested a 45-year-old man for allegedly raping a model The survivor lodged a complaint against the man, Jitendra Jain. She told police that she met Jitendra on social media networking site in October 2018. Soon, he befriended her. In November, he also met her parents and assured them that he would marry her. He claimed that he was unmarried and 25-year-old. Later, Jitendra took her to a local hotel for dinner and allegedly spiked her dessert after which she fell unconscious. Thereafter, he took her to a room and allegedly raped her and clicked some obscene photographs, the survivor told police.In December, Jitendra’s wife learnt about his extramarital affair and called the survivor. She told the survivor that Jitendra was deceiving her since he was married and had an 18-year-old boy too.The survivor was shocked after learning about Jitendra’s lies. She decided to lodge a complaint against him but Jitendra started blackmailing her with the obscene photographs.On Saturday, she mustered courage and reached Lasudia police station along with her parents to lodge a complaint. On Sunday, police arrested the accused, who is son of Malwa Mill Krishi Upaj Mandi president. SSP Ruchi Vardhan Mishra said, “The accused has been arrested and will be produced in court on Tuesday. The medical reports have confirmed that the survivor was raped. However, investigation is still on.”
