Indore man banks on Congress's NYAY scheme to pay estranged wife

"I have been reading about the proposed scheme by Congress to pay Rs 6,000 per month to unemployed people if it comes to power, and felt that I too could avail it and pay maintenance to my wife," Sharma said.
In his plea, he said he hopes Congress will come to power and implement the minimum income scheme, which he would avail and pay his wife.The court had ordered him to pay Rs 4,500 per month to his wife and 12-year-old daughter as maintenance.
He claims that he often has to borrow from his family to make ends meet.
The 39-year-old actor moved the plea on Friday before principal judge Subodh Jain seeking stay.He says he lives with his parents, and doesn't make enough money from his TV roles to sustain himself.
INDORE: Indore 's Anand Sharma , a self-confessed 'struggling' TV actor, has told a local court that he will pay his estranged wife maintenance from the Rs 6,000 Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has promised to the poor under the Nyuntam Aay Yojana or NYAY scheme if his party returns to power.Sharma, who does bit roles in soaps, has moved an application before the local family court seeking stay, till the end of the Lok Sabha polls, on a previous order that ordered him to pay maintenance to his estranged wife.
