Indore City becoming self sufficient in medical oxygen

Indore: Indore which had faced a huge shortage of oxygen during the second wave of Covid-19 is soon going to become self-sufficient in medical oxygen. “As many as 40 hospitals are setting up oxygen generation plants whose capacity is going to be 65 metric tonne. Put together we can get 105 metric tonne of oxygen in the time of need” collector Manish Singh said. He stated that government and private hospitals which are setting up oxygen plants have been told to complete the work fast. Singh has constituted a committee that will give a push to speed up the construction of oxygen plants.

Plus the production capacity of ASU and Mittal Plant at Pithampur is 40 metric tonne. Put together we can get 105 metric tonne of oxygen in the time of need” collector Manish Singh said. He stated that government and private hospitals which are setting up oxygen plants have been told to complete the work fast. He stated that the construction work of oxygen plants in 6 hospitals has been completed. Singh has constituted a committee that will give a push to speed up the construction of oxygen plants.
