Indore: The South Indian Cultural Association popularly known as (SICA) celebrated its foundation day on Saturday in the presence of community members with great zeal. There are about 250 family members registered with SICA in Indore. My contributions have been recognized by the society and I will keep doing my best for improving education system. "The veteran scientist was accompanied by his wife Jayanthi Ganesan. While addressing the gathering he said that with the help and contribution from the community members, education system in the city will improve in future.As a part of the foundation day tradition, SICA recognizes the work and felicitate senior members for their contribution for the betterment and benefit of the association.The ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamps and a prayer sung by the community members.

Traditional music programme marked the first day of celebration that will continue till Sunday.On the occasion, a veteran scientist from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya and senior member of the association Dr V Ganesan was felicitated for his remarkable work in the field of education and science.Ganesan said, "It's a great pleasure to be honored by the association. My contributions have been recognized by the society and I will keep doing my best for improving education system."The veteran scientist was accompanied by his wife Jayanthi Ganesan. While addressing the gathering he said that with the help and contribution from the community members, education system in the city will improve in future.As a part of the foundation day tradition, SICA recognizes the work and felicitate senior members for their contribution for the betterment and benefit of the association.The ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamps and a prayer sung by the community members. Association members said the aim behind celebrating the occasion is to keep the old tradition of the community alive.The programme was followed by flute recitation by Prapancham Shri Balchandran who left the audience spellbound by his soulful performance.The auditorium was jam packed with audience rejoicing the soulful music.Community members dressed in traditional attires were accompanied by their families and friends to rejoice the musical evening. There are about 250 family members registered with SICA in Indore.
