The procession also saw participation of foreigners along with the locals.Dancing on the tune of devotional songs the foreigners chanted the name of Lord Krishna. The procession started at LIG square and culminated at Girdhar Mahal in Vijay Nagar, passing through Patnipura Square and Anoop Talkies. In the evening, a special cultural programme on lord Krishna was organised by the devotees.Vrindavan Bhakt Das, who hails from Russia, enthusiastically participated in the procession. On being asked about his Indian name, he said that he was in India to study about lord Krishna and Bhagwat Geeta. "When we start our training, we leave behind our old lives and along with it our old identities. Our guru gives us a new name, which we use for the rest of our life. We have decided to devote our lives in service of Lord Krishna," said Das.Another devotee, Anant Purna Das from Russia said, "I moved to Bhopal a month ago and will be in India for the next five years to learn about Vedas. I was quite successful as I had a high paying job at a bank in Austria. But something changed me and I decided to devote my life to Lord Krishna's service."
