'China's allegation of transgression baseless'

ITANAGAR: Political leaders in Arunachal Pradesh on Monday vehemently opposed China's charge of 'transgression' against Indian Army in the strategically sensitive Asaphila area in Upper Subansiri district. India is the largest democracy in the world and always follows democratic principles. He also advised Beijing to rise above their 'narrow-minded diplomatic attitude'. "China's protest during border personnel meeting on March 15 against the Indian Army's patrolling in Asaphila is shocking and surprising," Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Takam Sanjoy said.As the area falls within Arunachal Pradesh which belongs to India and such patrolling is a regular practice, Beijing's charge is baseless and unfounded, Sanjoy, a former MP said.Without referring to incident that strained India-China bilateral relations, BJP vice president Dominic Tadar said any country and its leaders have to change with the changing times to be a part of the global growth process.State civil supplies minister Kamlung Mossang, who represents the Miao assembly constituency of Changlang district, said no neighbouring nation has any right to interfere in the internal matters of India.Opposition leader and senior People's Party of Arunachal (PPA) leader Takam Pario said, "Beijing should neither undermine the democratically elected governments of India as well as Arunachal Pradesh.
